KSL-1000X is an anti-corrosive muffle furnace with a hidden heating coil inside the ceramic chamber, which is designed to calcine some corrosive materials, such as sulfides and chlorides, up to 1,050ºC. The venting port is built on the top of the furnace for exhausting gas.

Furnace Construction   

  • High-purity fibrous alumina insulation for energy saving – 30% less power consumption than other brands.
  • Drop-down design of the door for easy and safe sample loading with automatic power-off if the door is opened
  • (Optional) Two 8 mm diameter hose barb connectors(gas inlet and outlet) (see pic left) in the furnace back panel are available at extra cost ($99 for both connectors). Check the option box. Note: Self-Installation is required.

Optional Top Opening

  • If the working temperature is> 800oC, suggest adding a protection cover as pic. 1, at extra cost.

Application Notes

  • With its small footprint, low weight, and low power requirement, it can be easily accommodated in a glove box and heated under inert gas.

Warnings

  • Toxic or explosive gasses are not recommended for use with this furnace without necessary safety controls and supervision. Please put furnace into fume hood for better safety (Click Pic.1)
  • Small cracks may appear on the surface of the refractory ceramics over extended use. This is a normal occurrence and the cracks may be repaired with alumina coating.
  • You shall place the sample into a crucible as below.  Never place the sample on the chamber bottom directly.
